Simon Melchior has been elected as the President of the European Business Chamber Nigeria

The Chief Executive Officer of Asseco Software Nigeria Ltd, Simon Melchior has been elected as the President of the European Business Chamber Nigeria (Eurocham Nigeria – www.eurochamng.org). Eurocham Nigeria is a business group uniting the main European investors and corporate organizations in Nigeria, promoting trade, investments, and exchanges between European and Nigerian businesses, advocating European quality standards, best practices, and culture of corporate social responsibility. On assuming his office in a post-crisis and pre-electoral context, Simon Melchior vowed that “now more than ever, our mantra will be that of determined partnership. EuroCham members meet with the Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business

Special Adviser to the President on the Ease of Doing Business, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole has recently joined EuroCham members for a fireside chat at a CEO Breakfast Roundtable held in June 2022 by the European Business Organisation in Nigeria.  At event, Dr. Oduwole spoke on the theme: Ease of Doing Business: Making Reforms Work for Businesses in Nigeria, where she shared valuable insight on the current reforms being implemented at all levels of government. EuroCham Pays Courtesy Visit to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Members of the EuroCham, the European Business Organisation in Nigeria, led by its president, Mrs. Mary Ojularil paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry in April where the team was welcomed by Dr. Chinyere Almona, the Director General. The meeting which took place on Tuesday the 12th of April 2022 included conversations centred around establishing a stronger partnership between the European Business Organisation in Nigeria and the LCCI. During the visit, the EuroCham President as well as the LCCI Director General both stressed the need for increased engagement with the government and policymakers in order to address the plethora of challenges facing businesses in the country.

EuroCham Exhibition Team Hosts Governor Sanwo-Olu, EU Ambassador at 8th Annual EU-Nigeria Business Forum

The European Business Organisation in Nigeria - EuroCham recently welcomed the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the EU Ambassador to Nigeria and the ECOWAS, Samuela Isopi, while in-exhibition at the 8th EU-Nigeria Business Forum in July 2022. The forum jointly organised by EU Delegation in Nigeria and the ECOWAS was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites Lagos with the theme, Nigeria and the New Economy saw business leaders and government officials from Nigeria and Europe in attendance. Speaking at the event, the EU-Ambassador Samuela Isopi, highlighted how the EU-Nigeria Business Forum has served as a strong platform for Nigerian and European businesses to engage with the Nigerian government in innovatively improving the business environment in the country. Participants at the event brainstormed on the three focus areas of the event: the backward integration policy of the Nigerian government, opportunities to increase gas exports and new initiatives in the agricultural sector in Nigeria.
