The European Business Organisation in Nigeria - EuroCham recently welcomed the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the EU Ambassador to Nigeria and the ECOWAS, Samuela Isopi, while in-exhibition at the 8th EU-Nigeria Business Forum in July 2022. The forum jointly organised by EU Delegation in Nigeria and the ECOWAS was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites Lagos with the theme, Nigeria and the New Economy saw business leaders and government officials from Nigeria and Europe in attendance. Speaking at the event, the EU-Ambassador Samuela Isopi, highlighted how the EU-Nigeria Business Forum has served as a strong platform for Nigerian and European businesses to engage with the Nigerian government in innovatively improving the business environment in the country. Participants at the event brainstormed on the three focus areas of the event: the backward integration policy of the Nigerian government, opportunities to increase gas exports and new initiatives in the agricultural sector in Nigeria.
