The Chief Executive Officer of Asseco Software Nigeria Ltd, Simon Melchior has been elected as the President of the European Business Chamber Nigeria (Eurocham Nigeria – www.eurochamng.org). Eurocham Nigeria is a business group uniting the main European investors and corporate organizations in Nigeria, promoting trade, investments, and exchanges between European and Nigerian businesses, advocating European quality standards, best practices, and culture of corporate social responsibility.

On assuming his office in a post-crisis and pre-electoral context, Simon Melchior vowed that “now more than ever, our mantra will be that of determined partnership. A reinforced partnership among our Members, not only at board level but also throughout the organization; a resolute partnership with our Federal and State government counterparts with whom we actively engage in a productive structured dialogue; a rekindled partnership with all other stakeholders, to continue attracting more Members, keep building bridges and showcasing the best of Europe.”

Established in 2018 by 19 European companies doing business in Nigeria, Eurocham Nigeria has currently over 40 members active in various sectors of the Nigerian economy. Ehrocham’s members are significant local employers, taxpayers, and innovators, keen to play their part in strengthening the business partnership between Nigeria and Europe.
